Banking and Finance
As an international financial centre, Hong Kong’s business and financial activities are closely linked to those of other financial centres and contribute to its economic development. Banking and financial services are diversified. The scope of work is mainly divided into counter services and wealth management services. As a result, there is a strong demand for frontline staff. At present, there are more than 150,000 people working in the banking and financial sectors in Hong Kong, of which about 65% are engaged in banking. The local institutions of higher education also offer a wide range of training programmes and programmes to enhance the skills and knowledge of students in the relevant businesses.
